Korea is one of Asia’s important manufacturing, technology, consumer and international trade markets. For overseas businesses and individual investors seeking to engage in trade, e-commerce, technology, consulting, supply chains, brand sales or other local activities, incorporating a Korean company can establish an independent local business entity and support banking, taxation, employment and commercial partnerships.
This project follows a standard incorporation plan for a Korean foreign-invested company.
Current reference plan:
Registered address: Seoul Gasan Digital Complex
Registered capital: KRW 100,000,000
Estimated overall timeframe: approximately 15–30 business days
Structure: Korean local corporation + foreign-invested company registration
According to official InvestKOREA guidance, a foreign investor investing at least KRW 100 million and, in principle, acquiring at least 10% of the voting shares in a Korean company may complete foreign direct investment and foreign-invested company registration under the Foreign Investment Promotion Act.
The standard process includes foreign investment notification, remittance of investment capital, incorporation registration, business registration, a corporate bank account and formal foreign-invested company registration.

Complete Foreign Investment Registration
Plan incorporation and foreign-invested status together
Beyond ordinary Korean corporate registration, the service covers investment notification, capital remittance and foreign-invested company registration under the foreign investment procedures to establish a compliant foreign-invested business in Korea.
Seoul Registered Address
A business address in Gasan Digital Complex
The current plan offers a registered address in Seoul’s Gasan Digital Complex for businesses entering the Korean market in trade, technology, e-commerce, consulting and other business sectors.
Banking and Tax Coordination
Move from incorporation toward actual operations
Following corporate registration, we continue to assist with business registration, a corporate bank account and initial bookkeeping and tax procedures, helping the company move beyond incorporation and into operations.
Remote Coordination for Overseas Investors
Reduce cross-border communication costs
We help overseas shareholders prepare investment notifications, powers of attorney, certifications, translations and incorporation documents, and coordinate with Korean courts, tax authorities and relevant professionals.

For individual or corporate investors seeking to establish a Korean corporation with 100% foreign ownership or another ownership structure permitted under Korean regulations, and build a long-term operating base in Korea.
Foreign Investment Notification
Submit a foreign direct investment notification to the relevant foreign exchange bank in Korea or KOTRA, confirming the investor, investment amount, shareholding percentage and proposed company details.
Open a Temporary Capital Account
Open a temporary capital account for incorporation purposes in accordance with the bank’s requirements, to receive funds from the overseas investor.
Remit KRW 100 Million in Capital
The overseas investor remits KRW 100,000,000 from the relevant personal or corporate investor account into the designated Korean capital payment account.
The remittance purpose must clearly identify the funds as an investment so they can subsequently be registered as foreign investment capital.
Korean official procedures also require investment funds to be remitted through the applicable foreign investment process, with relevant foreign exchange and remittance evidence retained.
Corporate Incorporation Registration
Submit the incorporation documents to the Korean court registry, complete corporate registration and obtain the company’s corporate registration certificate.
Tax and Business Registration
After incorporation, complete business registration with the tax authority and obtain the Korean company’s business registration certificate. Confirm subsequent tax filing arrangements based on the actual business activities.
Corporate Account and Foreign-Invested Company Registration
Convert or connect the temporary capital account to the corporate operating account and complete formal foreign-invested company registration. Korean official requirements generally call for this registration within the prescribed period after payment for the investment is completed.

This quotation is based on:
Registered capital: KRW 100,000,000
Registered address: Seoul Gasan Digital Complex
If the client changes the registered address, increases the capital, changes the number of shareholders, or requires a special industry licence, government taxes and fees and professional service fees must be recalculated.
The first three months of bookkeeping are covered by the current fixed plan. After that, ongoing monthly accounting fees will be confirmed based on import/export invoice volume, bank transaction volume, employee numbers and business complexity.
The capital belongs to the client’s Korean company as a corporate asset; it is not a service fee.
Bank account opening, government registration, industry licences and other outcomes remain subject to review by the relevant Korean institutions.
Can foreigners own 100% of a Korean company?
In sectors that permit foreign investment, the ownership structure can be designed for the specific business, including 100% foreign ownership. Restricted or licensed sectors may follow different rules, so the intended business scope must be checked before incorporation.
Is an investment of KRW 100 million mandatory?
For standard foreign-invested company registration under Korea’s Foreign Investment Promotion Act, this project uses KRW 100 million as the investment standard. Official Korean guidance also states that incorporation may be possible with less than KRW 100 million, but the company generally will not be recognized as a foreign-invested company under this standard.
Where is the capital remitted?
Depending on the bank and incorporation arrangements, investment capital is generally remitted from the overseas investor’s corresponding account into a temporary investment account in Korea, with the investment purpose clearly specified. Corporate registration and the transition to the corporate bank account follow.
How long does the process take?
The current reference timeframe is approximately 15–30 business days. Actual timing depends on document preparation, notarization and authentication, bank review, court registration, tax procedures and the speed of the client’s remittance.
Is the KRW 100 million a service fee?
No.
KRW 100 million is the Korean company’s registered capital and belongs to the company as an asset.
The current reference total for services, government taxes and fees, the registered address and three months of initial accounting is KRW 7,580,000. Capital is excluded from this service quotation.
Can you continue to assist after incorporation?
Yes.
Further coordination can be arranged according to the client’s needs.
